We are proud to announce that the first Kelso Klincher TM manway securement system has been approved by the AAR (Application # E119023) and has been installed on the first of two tank cars owned by a major chemical company.
The installation was conducted at Safety Rail in Victoria, Texas. The entire process including leak testing went smoothly and the car will return to active service. Once it is operational on a dedicated route, records will be kept on each trip to monitor performance. Shown below are several pictures of the installation.
Production units will be available January 1, 2012.
